The Magic NBA are an American professional basketball team based in Orlando, Florida. The Magic compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. The franchise was established in 1989 as an expansion team, and has played at the Amway Center since 2010.

Orlando has been represented in the NBA Finals three times by Shaquille O’Neal, Penny Hardaway, and Tracy McGrady. The Magic have also had four conference finals appearances. The franchise has attempted to rebuild through the NBA draft twice, in 2002 and again in 2006. In 2012, the Magic finally returned to the playoffs by clinching the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. However, the Magic were immediately eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs.
